The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Fair Play and Responsibility Committee has announced the winners for May of the awards it presents regularly each month to raise awareness of fair play and social responsibility.
In this context, Beşiktaş captain Necip Uysal was deemed worthy of the award for warning his teammates against excessive celebrations following the derby match played against Fenerbahçe.
The Galatasaray U14 team was rewarded for showing an example of sportsmanship by allowing Bursaspor to score a goal after they had scored a goal without realizing that an opposing player was injured during their match.
Trabzonspor reinforced social responsibility awareness by naming a stand after their late fan Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi during their Ziraat Turkish Cup semi-final match against Göztepe and opening this stand to children for free on April 23, National Sovereignty and Children's Day.
Konyaspor created awareness before their Ziraat Turkish Cup semi-final match against Galatasaray by including children who were disabled in the attacks in Gaza in the ceremony and having them wear t-shirts carrying messages drawing attention to the oppression in Palestine.
Finally, after the match against Atakaş Hatayspor, Beşiktaş held hands with the opposing players and saluted the stands, honoring their opponents after the opposing team's relegation was confirmed.
