Mehmet Akif Üstündağ re-elected as TVF President

Mehmet Akif Üstündağ has been elected as the President of the Turkish Volleyball Federation.

The Ordinary Elective General Assembly of the Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) was held today in Ankara. Mehmet Akif Üstündağ and Gökhan Dinçer competed for the presidency.

As a result of the voting, Mehmet Akif Üstündağ was re-elected as president.

Mehmet Akif Üstündağ was re-elected to the presidency by receiving 121 of the 218 votes cast. Gökhan Dinçer received 95 votes, and 2 votes were declared invalid.

The new board of directors under the presidency of Mehmet Akif Üstündağ includes Alper Sedat Aslandaş, Ersin Yılmaz, Mustafa Alparslan, İlker Dinçay, Altuğ Erim, Zeynep Aydınlar Eröğüt, Abdurrahim Yıldız, Simge Gündüz, Hasan Semih Oktay, and Bahar Mert.

STATEMENT FROM ÜSTÜNDAĞ

Addressing the community, Üstündağ stated that he was happy to have won the election and expressed his hope that the result would be beneficial for Turkish volleyball.

Emphasizing that they are Turkey's most successful federation, Üstündağ said, "This story was woven stitch by stitch. The clubs are behind these successes. Our support for the clubs will continue to increase. Without the clubs, the federation is nothing. We have always been proud of our clubs, and we will continue to be."

Mehmet Akif Üstündağ also shared some good news, stating, "The 2026 European Volleyball Championship will be held in Turkey."
