Mehmet Büyükekşi: 'We will carry not just our football, but our country as well'

Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President Mehmet Büyükekşi and TFF Board Members met with TFF committees at a dinner.

According to the statement made by the TFF, the dinner held at the Riva Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities was attended by the chairmen and members of the Audit Committee, Central Referee Committee, Arbitration Committee, Dispute Resolution Committee, Amateur Football Disciplinary Committee, Professional Football Disciplinary Committee, Ethics Committee, Club Licensing Committee, Representatives Committee, Health Committee, Anti-Doping Committee, Disabled Coordination Committee, Foreign Relations Executive Committee, and the Fair Play and Social Responsibility Committee.

"WE WILL CARRY OUR COUNTRY TO THE GLOBAL STAGE"

Addressing the committee chairmen and members, Büyükekşi emphasized the need to increase the brand value of Turkish football and reach new markets.

Stating that the A National Football Team finished as the leader of its qualifying group for the first time in its history, Büyükekşi said, "The 2032 European Football Championship, which we will co-host with Italy, will carry not just our football, but our country to the global stage. We need to crown the successes we have achieved with the work of you, our esteemed committees."

"DO NOT STRAY FROM BEING JUST"

Expressing that the Turkish Football Federation is a 100-year-old institution, Büyükekşi continued as follows:

"We are all trying to fulfill our duties with a passion for service. Since the first day we took office, we have adopted the principles of trust, justice, transparency, and equality. We committed to an accessible management approach. I know that you also act with these principles and understanding. To date, we have implemented many projects on behalf of Turkish football. We have always sought your ideas. Hopefully, we will implement many more projects together with you. We will fulfill the promises we made to the Turkish football family one by one, together with all the members of our federation. Our committees are our building blocks, our lifeblood. We are all working hard for the development of Turkish football and for it to reach the points it deserves. We have no doubts about the work discipline and good intentions of each of you. However, with the awareness of the responsibility we have undertaken, we must work harder, minimize errors, and do our job with the precision of a jeweler. The correct and accurate decisions you make are very important for this mechanism to function healthily. Listen to the voice of your conscience while doing your job, and do not stray from the scales of justice. Empathize, be questioning, and be supervisory."

Underlining that the committee chairmen and members are elite, experts in their fields, competent, and respected, Büyükekşi said:

"We organize training programs and hold workshops. We are trying to find the right route with the right steps as quickly as possible. You are also the captains of the committees you are in. We must continue to move forward on the roadmap we have drawn with the principles and values of our federation. In the new century of Turkey, there is much we will do together for our football, which connects millions with passion, and for our country."
