Messi's number 10 jersey to be retired

Argentine Football Association President Claudio Tapia has announced that they will retire Lionel Messi's number 10 national team jersey for life once he retires from football.

Tapia stated that they will not allow anyone else to wear the number 10 jersey once Messi retires from the national team.

Lionel Messi made his debut for the Argentina National Team in 2005. Having played in 180 matches for the national team, Messi has found the back of the net 106 times. The Argentine star achieved the first championship of his career at the 2022 World Cup.
