Regarding his move to Paris Saint-Germain after leaving Barcelona, Messi said, "The change was difficult when I went to PSG because I was doing very well at Barcelona and I was planning to stay there. I wasn't ready to leave, everything happened very quickly. I had to rebuild my life in a short time. I had to get to know another league, another club, and a new locker room."

THOUGHTS ON RETIREMENT

The 36-year-old Messi said regarding his thoughts on retirement, "I know that the moment I feel I can no longer perform, am not enjoying it, or cannot help my teammates, I will quit. I am very self-critical; I know when I play well and when I play poorly. When I feel the time has come to take that step, I will take it without thinking about my age. If I feel good, I will always try to keep competing because that is what I love and what I know how to do."

Stating that he is not thinking about life after retirement for now, the Argentine star said regarding the World Cup victory in Qatar, "For us, our families, and the entire country, becoming world champions was magical and it will stay with us for a lifetime.
