In the competitions held at the Invalides in Paris, the capital of France, Mete Gazoz faced Chilean Andres Gallardo Ferrada in the first round of the recurve bow event.
Defeating his opponent 6-0 with set scores of 30-26, 26-25, and 29-26, the national archer secured his place in the second round.
Mete Gazoz will face Taiwanese archer Chih-Chun Tang in this round.
