The repercussions of the referee meeting leaked to social media in recent days continue.
While the meeting, in which the penalty position in the Galatasaray - Antalyaspor match was evaluated, dominated the agenda, the TFF published the entire meeting.
Galatasaray Sports Club announced that it would initiate official proceedings against journalist Fatih Portakal for broadcasting the footage of the meeting in question solely through a Galatasaray-focused lens.
The Yellow-Reds subsequently took action against Cem Küçük from TGRT Haber, a channel known for its proximity to the government.
In the statement from Galatasaray, which announced that they would apply to RTÜK regarding Küçük, the following expressions were included;
"Despite the Turkish Football Federation transparently publishing the entire closed-circuit referee meeting; some programs, whose purpose is to harm Galatasaray, unfortunately insist on reporting only on certain edited parts!
Even though the facts have emerged; the 'Günaydın Türkiye' program, moderated by Cem Küçük on the TGRT Haber channel, has seen no harm in including and commenting on only the portion of the footage published by the TFF that was edited and served with malicious intent!
Regarding TGRT Haber and Cem Küçük, who disregard the principle of objective journalism and support the perception operation carried out against Galatasaray; necessary proceedings have been initiated before RTÜK and relevant institutions within the scope of legal legislation regarding the fight against disinformation."
