MKE Ankaragücü advances to the 4th round of the Ziraat Turkish Cup

In the 3rd round match of the Ziraat Turkish Cup, MKE Ankaragücü defeated TFF 3rd League side Malatya Arguvanspor 2-0 to advance to the 4th round.

MKE Ankaragücü, which hit the post once and created numerous chances in the first half of the match, was unable to capitalize on these opportunities, and the teams headed to the locker rooms tied at 0-0.

MKE Ankaragücü took the lead in the 64th minute. Chatzigiovanis, who entered the penalty area from the left following a pass from Renaldo, squared the ball to Morutan in front of the six-yard box. In a favorable position, Morutan sent the ball into the net with a clean strike: 1-0.

The capital city team doubled the lead in the 77th minute. Chatzigiovanis, who entered the penalty area from the left after a one-two with Efkan Bekiroğlu, passed the ball to Macheda inside the goal area. Macheda sent the ball into the empty net: 2-0.
