Galatasaray has provided an update on the medical status of Victor Osimhen and Mario Lemina, who were unable to continue playing due to injuries sustained against Başakşehir in the 4th week of the Süper Lig.
In a statement released by the yellow-red club, it was noted that both players have completed their MRI scans and further examinations at Acıbadem Hospital.
“A moderate-to-severe strain (bleeding and tearing) was detected in the right adductor (groin) muscle group of Victor Osimhen, and a similar moderate-to-severe strain (bleeding and tearing) was detected in the right adductor muscle group of our player Mario Lemina, whose examinations were also completed; their treatment processes are currently underway.”
In the match where Galatasaray won 3-2 away against Başakşehir, Osimhen was replaced by Barış Alper Yılmaz in the 33rd minute due to his injury. Lemina was substituted at halftime.
Following the examinations, it is stated that Osimhen is expected to be sidelined for approximately 2-3 weeks, while Lemina is expected to be out for approximately 3 weeks.
