Murat Pervane is the new president of Altay!

Murat Pervane has been elected president at the extraordinary general assembly of Altay Sports Club.

The extraordinary general assembly, held at the İzmir Active Football Referees Association Symposium Hall at Atatürk Stadium, continued with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem following the election of the council board.

After the attendees of the general assembly sang the Altay Anthem, current president Ayhan Dündar took the floor and stated that they had reached the day to hand over the flag after showing great sacrifice during his 1.5-year tenure.

Stating that they are going through a very difficult period for Altay, Dündar said, "Since the moment we set out, we wanted to do much more, but within the limits of our means, we tried to carry out our duty in a way befitting Altay fans, without allowing any dirty business. Unfortunately, sometimes there are situations beyond one's control. As everyone knows, our club is at the point of struggling for its life under a very heavy financial burden."

Dündar added that they would continue to do whatever is necessary for Altay and provide support, noting that Altay has the strength to get back on its feet.

Following the speeches, the management was acquitted in the vote that took place.
