National athlete İbrahim Bölükbaşı wins gold medal at Paris 2024
National athlete İbrahim Bölükbaşı has won the gold medal in the men's +90kg J2 judo category at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

In the judo competitions held at the Champ-de-Mars Arena, the national athlete faced the reigning European champion and Tokyo 2020 silver medalist, Revaz Chikoidze, in the final.
Defeating his Georgian opponent 1-0, the national athlete secured Turkey's first-ever gold medal in the history of the Paralympic Games.

Visually impaired national athlete İbrahim Bölükbaşı has also represented Turkey in the Summer Olympic Games.
The national athlete, who participated in the Olympics in London 2012 and in both the Olympics and the Paralympic Games in Rio 2016, wore the crescent-and-star jersey in freestyle wrestling at the Olympics.
Additionally, İbrahim, who won the Kızıldağ Karakucak Wrestling tournament three times in a row to become a gold belt holder, has received his first Paralympic medal.
Having failed to win a medal at the Olympics and placing 7th at the 2016 Paralympic Games, the national athlete achieved one of the greatest successes of his career by winning the gold medal at Paris 2024.
