In a statement made by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), it was reported that the plane carrying the National Football Team delegation from Cardiff to Istanbul landed in Munich due to the illness of Emanuele Montella, the brother of Vincenzo Montella, who was among the passengers.
The statement said, "The plane carrying the National Team delegation from Cardiff to Istanbul has landed at Munich Airport as a precautionary measure due to the illness of Emanuele Montella, the brother of our Head Coach Vincenzo Montella, who was among the passengers."
It was stated that TFF National Teams Supervisor Hamit Altıntop and Vincenzo Montella left the plane with the National Team doctor to accompany Emanuele Montella for a detailed medical examination.
