Nesrin Baş has advanced to the final in the women's 72kg category at the European Wrestling Championships held in Romania.
In the event taking place in the capital, Bucharest, Zeynep Yetgil in the 53kg, Elvira Kamaloğlu in the 57kg, Ebru Dağbaşı in the 62kg, Kadriye Aksoy in the 65kg, and Nesrin Baş in the 72kg took to the mat.
Nesrin Baş reached the final by defeating Viktoryia Radzkovai, who is participating in the event as an individual athlete, 7-0 in the 72kg quarterfinals, and Polish wrestler Wiktoria Choluj 2-1 in the semifinals.
Nesrin Baş will face Romanian Alexandra Anghel in the final tomorrow.
Additionally, Zeynep Yetgil in the 53kg, Elvira Kamaloğlu in the 57kg, and Kadriye Aksoy in the 65kg will compete in the repechage matches tomorrow. Meanwhile, Ebru Dağbaşı has been eliminated from the tournament in the 62kg category.
