Beşiktaş footballer Necip Uysal has made a statement regarding his inclusion among the names identified by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) as having engaged in betting as part of a betting investigation.
In a post shared on his social media account, Necip stated the following:
"Throughout my life, I have never had any involvement with betting. I have not played, and I have never had a betting account. The thought has never even crossed my mind. I will pursue all legal avenues against my name being brought up in this manner, a name I have tried to keep clean for years through my sweat and hard work. Let the Beşiktaş fans and all sports enthusiasts have no doubts whatsoever."
