National athlete Nesrin Baş won the gold medal in the women's 72kg category at the European Wrestling Championships held in Romania.
Competing in the 72kg category at the event held in the capital Bucharest, Nesrin faced the defending European champion, Romanian athlete Alexandra Nicoleta Anghel, in the final.
The 21-year-old national athlete, who displayed a dominant performance from start to finish, defeated her opponent 5-1 to secure the first European championship title of her career.
