The Super Cup final between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, which was decided to be played in Riyadh as a result of the Turkish Football Federation's insistence on Saudi Arabia, was postponed to a later date due to the Atatürk embargo imposed by Saudi authorities.

The question of when the postponed Super Cup final will be played has become a matter of public curiosity.

PLANNED TO BE PLAYED IN JANUARY

The TFF Board of Directors, at its meeting held in Riva on Monday, pressed the button for the Super Cup final to be played within January.

According to the report in Sözcü; the TFF, not wanting the cup final, which has gained a political dimension, to remain in limbo and be used as further fodder, decided to take this step in order to avoid problems with the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) broadcasters to whom it sold the broadcasting rights for this match.

The calendar, which will end on May 19 due to EURO 2024 and is already extremely tight, will be shifted by one week. In the coming months, these postponed matches will be scheduled for mid-week.

SUPER LIG LOGO IS CHANGING

While Turkish football has been shaken in the last month by the punching of Halil Umut Meler, the withdrawal of İstanbulspor from the pitch, and the Super Cup crisis, the Turkish Football Federation, whose resignation is being demanded by the public, has turned its attention to its logo.

The TFF, which planned to change the Super Lig logo with an event that was started months ago and will be attended by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the end of January, has not abandoned this step despite the crises. Since the future of the TFF is uncertain, the fate of the logo is also a matter of curiosity.
