A statement has come from former referee Deniz Ateş Bitnel regarding the “Referees file” investigation, which is being conducted by teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Bureau under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
In a post on his social media account, Bitnel announced that he has been invited to the Vatan Police Headquarters to provide his statement in the capacity of a witness.
In his post, the former referee also touched upon allegations regarding young referees within the scope of the investigation, stating, “Let no one doubt that I will be the voice of my young referee brothers and sisters who are subjected to mobbing, in order to get rid of those who pollute football!”
