Fenerbahçe Medicana has announced its new head coach after parting ways with Marco Fenoglio and his staff following the first match of the Vodafone Sultan League play-off 1-4 stage against Galatasaray Daikin.
In a post shared on the yellow-navy club's social media account, it was announced that an agreement had been reached with Marcello Abbondanza for the head coaching position.

Fenerbahçe's statement read, "Italian head coach Marcello Abbondanza, who brought 1 CEV Cup title, 2 Turkish League titles, 2 Turkish Cups, and 1 Turkish Super Cup to our trophy cabinet during the 2013/2014-2016/2017 seasons, has been appointed as the head coach of our Fenerbahçe Women's Volleyball Team. We welcome Marcello Abbondanza back to our family and wish him success."
Fenerbahçe will host Galatasaray Daikin tomorrow in the Vodafone Sultan League play-off 1-4 stage, and the match will begin at 13:30.
