Fenerbahçe's Nigerian footballer Bright Osayi-Samuel has made a new statement regarding the Trabzonspor-Fenerbahçe match.

According to the report on NtvSpor, Osayi-Samuel made comments to his country's press. Calling for new regulations regarding fans attending the stadium, Osayi-Samuel argued that the match should have been stopped.

Osayi-Samuel stated the following:

"When violence starts and players start to respond to it, this is unacceptable anywhere.

The players' response is justified because some of these fans are armed. If one of the players were injured, the problem would not just be for the clubs, but for the entire league.

Players do not want to go to a place where they do not feel safe and where they could get injured.

Objects thrown onto the pitch exist not only in Turkey but everywhere, but when it becomes excessive, the referee had to stop the match."
