Reports in the Brazilian press stated that Neymar, who was injured and left the pitch in tears during Brazil's 2-0 away defeat to Uruguay in the FIFA World Cup South American Qualifiers, will undergo surgery tomorrow in the city of Belo Horizonte by team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar.

It was stated that the 31-year-old player, who was diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee, will be sidelined for 10 months.
