Nicolas Anelka and Tuncay Şanlı reunite in Ümraniye years later

1st League team Ümraniyespor has signed a contract with its new head coach, Tuncay Şanlı.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, which was also attended by Ümraniyespor Club CEO Nicolas Anelka, Şanlı said, "Having Anelka here excites me. I can say that we will be a team that fights on the pitch and provides enjoyment."

The French football figure, referring to his former Fenerbahçe teammate Tuncay Şanlı, stated, "Everyone already knows him very well. He was a football icon and my friend. We played together, and today he is our head coach. I wish him the best of luck."
