Following the match, the yellow-red team's head coach, Okan Buruk, provided an update on the health status of Uğurcan Çakır, who was a last-minute change to the squad before the match, and Abdülkerim Bardakcı, who was substituted in the second half.
Uğurcan Çakır was expected to start for Galatasaray. However, when the teams took the field for the ceremony, it was observed that Jankat Yılmaz was in goal. Buruk stated that Uğurcan felt pain in his foot just before heading onto the pitch.
“It was a surprise when Uğurcan was just about to go onto the pitch. He had pain in his foot. We had to replace him with Jankat all of a sudden. We brought him to the bench, thinking his pain would subside. I don't think it's anything significant. He should recover within 1-2 days.”
Abdülkerim Bardakcı, who started the match, was replaced by Aleksey Batrakov in the second half. Buruk said that the experienced defender had an issue with his ankle, but they did not consider the situation to be serious.
“Abdülkerim had an injury to his ankle. He was limping slightly. I don't think that is anything very significant either. He will start training with the team within a few days. Other than that, we don't have too many injuries.”
