Okan Buruk speaks after critical victory: It will be magnificent!

In the 36th week of the Süper Lig, league leaders Galatasaray were guests of Fatih Karagümrük.

Galatasaray won the match 3-2 after falling behind. The goals for the yellow-reds were scored by Barış Alper Yılmaz in the 45+4th minute, Mertens in the 70th minute, and Berkan Kutlu in the 90th minute. 

With two weeks left in the league, Galatasaray brought their point total to 99, maintaining their 6-point lead over Fenerbahçe. The yellow-reds have won every match they have played in the second half of the season, achieving their 17th consecutive victory.

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk evaluated the victory for beIN SPORTS.

"This is a difficult stadium to play in. The pitch is good, but the atmosphere is challenging. We had the ball, but we couldn't play quickly and we had problems between the lines. Our passing organization wasn't good. Even in a match where we didn't play well, our statistics weren't bad. We let Marcao have a very comfortable game again. He was more successful in dealing with the balls played to him. Throughout the match, we wanted it, and we did our best to win. We won with a very beautiful goal scored by Berkan. I want to congratulate my players. I want to thank our fans. We want to do our best for them."

DERBY COMMENTS

"If you had asked at the beginning of the season if we would enter the final two weeks of the derby with a 6-point lead... We entered last year with a 5-point lead. Even though a draw would be enough for us, we want to win. Fenerbahçe also wants to win. It will be a magnificent evening with our fans."
