Ahead of the upcoming presidential election at Fenerbahçe, Aziz Yıldırım met with congress members and fans in the İzmit district of Kocaeli. Yıldırım emphasized that they are running for management again to put an end to the long period of failure. He stated that if re-elected, a strong and unified structure would be built at Fenerbahçe, just as it was in 1998.

Calling on the entire community to move together by leaving past grievances behind, Yıldırım said, "For this, we must all set aside our resentments and grievances, and in unity and solidarity, starting with the players at Samandıra, we must create the Fenerbahçe spirit there, then carry it to the stadium, ensure this spirit is revived in all the stands, instill this in the community, and with the community's acceptance, I promise that if we are elected, we will achieve the championship we desire this year."

"YOU HAVE A STRONG LEADER, BE AT EASE"

Stating that they desire for Fenerbahçe to shine in Europe once again, Yıldırım also underlined that they are working on 5 to 10-year vision projects. "You have a strong leader. Be at ease. We will build a good team. It is not about this star player or that player. First, it needs to be a good team. We will build a team that does not pass backward, but plays forward. Be at ease," he said.

Responding to a fan's criticism regarding the failures in the league and in Europe, Yıldırım noted that they want to enter the Champions League qualifiers at the beginning of the season with a full squad, and then compete for the league championship.

"WE WILL BE READY BY JUNE 20-25"

Providing information about the transfer process, Yıldırım stated that they have identified the team's deficiencies and that the necessary moves will be made. "We will announce 2 strikers this week or next week. We have reached an agreement in principle, know that, but I am not disclosing the names so as not to weaken our bargaining power, but they are valuable players," said Yıldırım, adding that agreements in principle have been reached in talks with two forwards. It was also stated that transfer efforts for other positions are ongoing and that domestic players are also on the agenda.

Stating that they aim to complete most of their transfers by June 20-25, Yıldırım mentioned that this process could be a first in the club's history and touched upon the importance of forming the team with a full squad at the beginning of the season. Yıldırım also pointed out that the upcoming World Cup could affect the transfer period, stating that there might be delays for players to be transferred from there.
