Paris Olympics break ticket sales record

Of the 10 million tickets issued for the Olympic Games to be held in Paris, the capital of France, from July 26 to August 11, 9.3 million have been sold.

While ticket prices were set at 90, 250, 500, 900, 1,600, and 2,700 euros, holders of the 2,700-euro tickets paid 3,850 euros for a package that also includes meal service.

The previous record was set at the 1996 games in Atlanta, USA, where 8.3 million tickets were sold; this record has been broken in Paris after 28 years.

Of the tickets put on sale in Paris, those priced at 90, 250, and 500 euros have sold out. Tickets priced at 900, 1,600, and 2,700 euros are also nearing sell-out.

HOME RENTAL PRICES EXCEED 20 THOUSAND EUROS

At the Paris 2024 Olympics, where ticket prices reach up to 3,850 euros, homeowners with views of the Seine River are also looking to turn this situation into a financial opportunity.

Homeowners looking to rent out their properties for the opening ceremony have set rental prices exceeding 20,000 euros for July 26.

For the first time in Olympic history, the opening ceremony will take place within the city and will be open to the public.

While stands are being set up for those who wish to follow the opening ceremony with a ticket, there will also be sections open to the public.

TURKEY IS IN 191ST PLACE

Delegations will take part in the opening ceremony on boats along a 6.5-kilometer route on the Seine River. The ceremony will conclude at the Trocadero Square.

Turkey will march in 191st place during the ceremony. Greece, referred to as the birthplace of the Olympics, will be in the first place in the procession. The Refugee Olympic Team will be in second place. The order will be determined alphabetically according to the French language. Australia, which will host the 2032 Olympics, will be in 203rd place, and the USA, host of the 2028 Olympics, will be in 204th place. France, the host of the games, will participate in the opening ceremony in the final position.
