Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ announced that the Turkish Men's National Volleyball Team has parted ways with Italian head coach Alberto Giuliani.

In a statement to TRT Spor, President Üstündağ noted that they had a 1-year contract with Giuliani, stating, "The second-year option was at the discretion of our federation. Within the framework of some of our plans and programs regarding the one-year term, we have parted ways with Alberto; we thank him for his services."

Regarding the question about whether Ziraat Bankkart head coach Mustafa Kavaz is being considered for the national team, Mehmet Akif Üstündağ said, "Absolutely not, anyone's name can come up. He is also one of our own, but we have not spoken a single word or discussed anything with him. We only did this so as not to miss the day our option period arrived. In the first stage, we will consult on the necessary name or names at the board of directors meeting next week. I do not want to talk about individuals. We have a sincere and transparent structure; not a single name has been discussed on our agenda yet."
