The experienced player, who arrived in Istanbul from Sao Paulo to hold transfer talks with the black-and-white club, was welcomed by club officials.
The 33-year-old Brazilian defender, who left the airport wearing a Beşiktaş t-shirt, posed for the press by making the eagle gesture.
After leaving Istanbul Airport, Paulista headed to the hotel where he will be staying.
