The EuroLeague has announced that Partizan Belgrade has been fined 40,000 Euros due to incidents during the match played against Fenerbahçe Beko, and that the spectator capacity for their home games has been limited to 80%.
Additionally, a partial behind-closed-doors penalty has been suspended conditionally for the duration of the 2025-26 season, with the stipulation that the penalty will be enforced in the event of further rule violations.
During the match in which Fenerbahçe Beko defeated Partizan 99-87 away from home, Serbian fans displayed a banner depicting Milos Obilic, who assassinated Ottoman Sultan Murad I. This banner and the chants directed against Turks drew significant backlash.
Fenerbahçe Basketball Board Member Cem Ciritci stated that they had filed complaints with the necessary authorities regarding the incident and that officials had allowed the banner to be hung despite warnings.
