Penalty for Beşiktaş from the Ministry of Youth and Sports!

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has filed a lawsuit against Beşiktaş for 500 thousand liras, demanding payment of its 25 percent share of advertising and sponsorship revenues generated at the stadium during 6 football seasons from 2017 to 2023.

According to the report in Hürriyet, Beşiktaş Futbol Yatırımları AŞ, a subsidiary of Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü, used the name Vodafone Arena for its stadium despite the absence of any contract. The Ministry, arguing that the link between the club with which it had an agreement and the joint-stock company was evident, demanded a 25 percent share of the sponsorship revenue as required by the agreement.
