Pendikspor parts ways with İbrahim Üzülmez

Pendikspor stated in an announcement, "We have parted ways with our head coach İbrahim Üzülmez. We would like to thank him and his technical staff for their contributions to our club and wish them success in their careers."

WHO IS İBRAHİM ÜZÜLMEZ?

İbrahim Üzülmez was born on March 10, 1974, in Kocaeli. At the age of 16, Gönenspor recognized his talent and signed him. After developing his skills there, he played for clubs including Kardemir Karabükspor, İskenderun Demir Çelik SK, Kardemir Karabükspor again, Amasyaspor, and Kardemir Karabükspor once more.

He then transferred to Gaziantepspor. There, he played more consistently than in previous seasons, and his big dream came true when he transferred to Beşiktaş during the 2000-2001 season transfer window.

He was part of the Beşiktaş squad that won the championship in the club's centenary year. In the 2008-2009 season, he was suspended from the squad after a fight with his teammate İbrahim Toraman. Both were later pardoned, but İbrahim Üzülmez lost his captaincy at Beşiktaş following this incident.

In the final week of the season during the Denizlispor-Beşiktaş match, head coach Mustafa Denizli made a gesture by giving him the captain's armband again when he entered the game, allowing him to join the match as the captain of the championship-winning team. He produced some of the best performances of his career in the centenary year, including matches against Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe where he scored with his right foot, and the 3-0 victory against FC Barcelona.

On June 23, 2009, he signed a 2-year contract with the Black-and-White club, with an option for an additional year. On February 13, 2011, his contract was terminated by the Beşiktaş management due to another altercation with İbrahim Toraman.
