Pınar Karşıyaka secures victory on the road against Türk Telekom!

In the 19th week of the Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League, Pınar Karşıyaka defeated their hosts Türk Telekom 81-70.

The teams took the court with a banner reading "February 6, 2023, our hearts beat for the earthquake zone." A minute of silence was observed before the match for those who lost their lives in the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes.

The first quarter, in which both teams played with a low shooting percentage, ended with Pınar Karşıyaka leading 13-12.

Pınar Karşıyaka, which widened the gap with McCollum's points in the final part of the 2nd period, closed the first half ahead 33-25 against their opponent, who could not find their rhythm due to poor outside shooting and turnovers.

The capital city team, ignited by 2 blocks from Palmer, equalized the score with baskets from Wallace and Jones with 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter (44-44). However, McCollum and Jaylon Brown ensured Pınar Karşıyaka entered the final 10 minutes with a 54-47 lead with their critical baskets.

In the final period, there were moments when Türk Telekom reduced the gap to two possessions, but Jaylon Brown and Vitto Brown stepped up for Pınar Karşıyaka and did not allow the gap to close. Thus, Pınar Karşıyaka left the court with an 81-70 victory.
