Players for NBA All-Star competitions announced

The players who will participate in the slam dunk, three-point, and skills competitions at the NBA All-Star event have been determined.

The players who will participate in the slam dunk, three-point, and skills competitions at the National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star event have been determined.

According to the announcement on the NBA's website, Jaylen Brown (Boston Celtics), Mac McClung (Osceola Magic), Jaime Jaquez Jr (Miami Heat), and Jacob Toppin (New York Knicks) will compete in the slam dunk contest.

The three-point contest will feature Malik Beasley, Damian Lillard (Milwaukee Bucks), Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks), Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers), Lauri Markkanen (Utah Jazz), Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland Cavaliers), Karl-Anthony Towns (Minnesota Timberwolves), and Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks).

In the skills challenge, three teams consisting of three players each will take the court. The Pacers team will feature Tyrese Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin, and Myles Turner (Indiana Pacers); the No. 1 Draft Picks team will feature Paolo Banchero (Orlando Magic), Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves), and Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio Spurs); and the All-Star team will feature Scottie Barnes (Toronto Raptors), Tyrese Maxey (Philadelphia 76ers), and Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks).

Additionally, this year's All-Star event will feature a special three-point contest between Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and Sabrina Ionescu of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) team New York Liberty.

The NBA All-Star 2024 competitions will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, USA, on the morning of Sunday, February 18.
