In the Ziraat Turkish Cup Group C, week 2 match, Fenerbahçe faced Beyoğlu Yeni Çarşı at the Kasımpaşa Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium, leaving the match with a 1-0 victory.
Responding to questions from members of the press after the match, Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran stated, "I just wanted to congratulate the young players of Beyoğlu. My colleagues and I are proud. These young kids fought very well. May their paths be clear. Hopefully, the cup will be ours."
President Saran gave the response "We will see" to a question regarding transfer activities.
