President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with the presidents and board members of the four major clubs of the Süper Lig at the Presidential Dolmabahçe Office.
The meetings were held separately. Erdoğan first received Beşiktaş Club President Serdal Adalı. Subsequently, Fenerbahçe Club President Aziz Yıldırım, Galatasaray Club President Dursun Özbek, and Trabzonspor Club President Ertuğrul Doğan were hosted at the Dolmabahçe Office along with their board members.
Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak was also present at the receptions.
In a post on his social media account, Erdoğan emphasized friendship and fair competition in the league.
Today, we came together with the esteemed presidents and executives of our Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, and Trabzonspor clubs. I sincerely believe that our Süper Lig, which began a few weeks ago, will continue in an atmosphere of friendship, brotherhood, and fair competition, and that our clubs will make us proud with the victories they achieve in Europe; I wish all our sports clubs success.
