Germany's sportswear company Puma has announced that it will end its sponsorship agreement with the Israel national football team next year. The company stated that this decision was made before the attack carried out by Hamas on Israel on October 7.

A company spokesperson said in an emailed statement,

"Two newly signed national teams will be announced later this year and in 2024. The contracts of some federations, including Serbia and Israel, will expire in 2024," they said.

The company spokesperson also stated that the decision was made in 2022 as part of Puma's "fewer-bigger-better strategy" and aligns with the time required for the design and development of team kits.
