In the UEFA Europa League play-off round, Qarabag faced Braga in the second leg of the tie they had won 4-2.
Braga won the match hosted by Qarabag 3-2. Braga's goals were scored by Roger Fernandes in the 70th minute, Alvaro Djalo in the 83rd minute, and Banza from a penalty in the 115th minute. Qarabag found a goal in the 120+2nd minute of extra time and secured their place in the last 16 round.
Following this result, despite losing 3-2, Qarabag became the side to advance to the next round in the UEFA Europa League.
In Qarabag, Cafarguliyev was sent off after receiving yellow cards in the 53rd and 57th minutes.
