Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı claims operation in football! '8 prominent referees have given statements...'

Journalist Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı, who is close to the government, has alleged that an operation targeting referees has been launched in Turkish football. Noting that there is one protected witness in the investigation, Kütahyalı claimed that the assets of referees have been under scrutiny for the past two years.

While almost every club makes criticisms regarding the officiating of referees before, after, and even during matches, a claim that will dominate the sports agenda has come from journalist Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı, who is close to the government.

Sharing on his X account, Kütahyalı alleged that the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched a referee operation and that 8 prominent referees have given statements within the scope of the investigation.

Claiming that the assets of Turkish referees have been examined over the last 2 years, Kütahyalı also wrote that there is a protected witness in the investigation.

At the end of his post, Kütahyalı used the phrase, "This is a major operation against the betting match-fixing that is ruining Turkish football."

Kütahyalı's post is as follows:

"By the way, the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched the biggest referee operation in history. It is literally an MHK investigation. 8 prominent referees have given statements. For the first time, a real scalpel is being applied to the swamp that Turkish refereeing has fallen into. All referee corruption that has occurred in the last 2 years will be brought to light.
