Spain's Real Madrid Club has announced that the contract of Uruguayan midfielder Federico Valverde has been extended until 2029.
In a statement released by the club, it was reported that the contract of 25-year-old Valverde has been extended until June 30, 2029, by mutual agreement.
Valverde, who has been playing for Real Madrid since July 2016, has scored 19 goals in 220 matches and won 9 trophies with the Whites.
Real Madrid, which has been renewing the contracts of its players consecutively for the last two weeks, had also decided to continue with Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes, and Eduardo Camavinga.
The Spanish press claimed that Valverde's unilateral release clause would be 1 billion euros, just like the other three players.
