Referee for Turkey-Italy match announced

The referee for the match between the Turkish National Football Team and Italy, their second game in UEFA Nations League A Group 1, has been announced. Michael Oliver from the English Football Association will officiate the match in Bursa.
The Turkey-Italy match, which will be played at the Atatürk Sports Complex Matlı Stadium, will begin on Monday, September 28, at 21:45.
Both teams, who finished the first week of the group without any points, will be looking for their first points in the match in Bursa. The National Team was defeated 1-0 by France, whom they hosted in Kocaeli, with a goal from Kylian Mbappe.
Italy, on the other hand, lost 2-0 at home to Belgium in the first match since Roberto Mancini returned as head coach. Goals from Mika Godts and Dodi Lukebakio secured the victory for Belgium.
After the first week, France and Belgium have reached three points each in the group. Turkey and Italy have yet to earn any points ahead of the second matches.
Michael Oliver has previously officiated four matches involving the Turkish National Football Team. In the matches managed by the English referee, Turkey defeated Kazakhstan 1-0 in 2015, the Netherlands 4-2 in 2021, and Kosovo 1-0 in March 2026.
