Republic Day message from Dursun Özbek!

Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek issued a statement on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic.

In his statement, Dursun Özbek said: "Today, we are filled with the enthusiasm and justified pride of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. I respectfully commemorate all the heroes who fought in our struggle for existence and independence, led by the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, whether on the front lines, in parliament, or in civil society.

As the largest NGO in our country, Galatasaray will continue to fulfill its duties in the cultural, human, and sporting fields in the second century of the Republic of Turkey, just as it has done over the past 100 years.

The tradition we come from has always guided us to write the future. At this point, we, as Galatasaray members, are aware that the goals set by the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk will be reached through science and wisdom.

As the children of an Ancestor who advised that if his ideas were to conflict with science, science should be preferred over them, our ideals will be high, our goals will be realistic, and our strength will be scientific.

May the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey be blessed and full of success."
