Ricky Rubio returns to Barcelona

Turkish Airlines EuroLeague side Barcelona has completed a surprise transfer.

In a statement released by the club, it was announced that an agreement has been reached with experienced point guard Ricky Rubio until the end of the season.

Furthermore, according to the statement, the agreement will be subject to the progress of the player, who is in the final stages of his recovery process.

Barcelona announced that Rubio will play his first official match "when he feels fully ready."

The 33-year-old player previously played for Barcelona between 2009 and 2011 and was part of the team that won the EuroLeague title in 2010.
