Derby statement from Rıza Çalımbay: The goal is an absolute victory

Beşiktaş, which will host Fenerbahçe in a derby match at home on Saturday, December 9, in the 15th week of the Süper Lig, continued its preparations for the match with a training session.

Before the training, manager Rıza Çalımbay answered questions from members of the press. 

HE SPOKE ABOUT THE INJURIES

Providing information about the injured players on the team, the experienced manager said, "Our doctor friend will make the decision on them. Currently, neither Rosier nor Masuaku are training. It is not clear right now. We will learn more clearly after talking to the doctors. Tayyip Talha is working, but he is not fully ready yet. We are currently looking at Bailly and Ghezzal. It has been 2 days since they started training. We will make a decision by match day."

"WE ABSOLUTELY MUST WIN"

Stating that they absolutely must win the Fenerbahçe derby to be played on Saturday, Rıza Çalımbay continued his words as follows:

"Our situation is good, we have no problems. Our only goal is waiting for the match. We are going into an important match for us, for the fans, and for the community. We are aware of this, and our players are aware of it too. We need to reflect this awareness onto the pitch. We absolutely must win. There is no other thought in our minds. If we want to catch up with the top, we absolutely must win this match. I trust our fans very much, first and foremost. I know they will provide great support. They always have. I also trust my players to the end. Injuries or anything else are no excuse. This match is a critical turning point for us. That is why we absolutely must win this match."

MEETING WITH HASAN ARAT

Upon a question regarding whether he had met with President Hasan Arat after the election, Çalımbay concluded his words as follows:

"The president will come here on Friday. We will meet and he will be introduced to the team. He was abroad; we will meet when he arrives."
