Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has made football history thanks to the new contract he signed with Saudi Pro League team Al Nassr. Ronaldo, who joined Al Nassr after leaving Manchester United in 2023, extended his contract by two more years during the summer. The value of this new agreement exceeded 400 million dollars, making Ronaldo one of the highest-earning figures in sports history.

According to a report by Bloomberg, Ronaldo's total wealth has reached 1.4 billion dollars, making him the first billionaire footballer in history. In addition to his football career, various sponsorship deals have also contributed to the star player's income. Throughout his career, Ronaldo has played for major clubs such as Sporting, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Al Nassr.

Winning the "Prestige Award" at an event organized by the Portuguese Football Federation, Ronaldo also spoke about his retirement plans. Stating that he is not yet thinking about quitting football, Ronaldo said he wants to compete in the 2026 World Cup. "We have to think about today, match by match. Of course, our goal is to go to the World Cup and win it, but we have to take everything step by step," he said.

Regarding his career and the award he received, Ronaldo stated, "This is not an award given at the end of a career. I see this as an appreciation of years of effort, dedication, and ambition." Regarding retirement, he said, "People, especially my family, say, 'It's time to stop. You've done everything. Why do you want to score a thousand goals?' But I don't think so. I still think I'm doing good things, helping my club and the national team, so why shouldn't I continue?"
