Following the arrest of Ela Rümeysa Cebeci after Mehmet Akif Ersoy, Saran was summoned to testify as a suspect due to correspondence found on Cebeci's mobile phone with Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran. Saran, who was abroad for transfer operations, returned to Turkey by private jet to provide his statement and was released under judicial control.

HAIR TEST POSITIVE, DETAINED

It was announced that a hair sample taken from Saran at the Council of Forensic Medicine (ATK), alongside blood, urine, and nail samples, tested positive for cocaine. Stating that he has never used the substance in question, Saran had a test conducted by an independent institution. In the evening, Saran was detained at the Fenerbahçe Sports Club building and taken to the Provincial Gendarmerie Command.

FENERBAHÇE FANS HEADED TO KADIKÖY: GOVERNMENT RESIGN

The detention of Sadettin Saran has become a major issue on Turkey's agenda. Arguing that the operation was political, the Yellow-Navy fans went in front of the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium and chanted, "Government resign."

Meanwhile, the remarks made by former Trabzonspor footballer Lemi Çelik on the 12punto YouTube channel have resurfaced on social media.

Noting that the government interferes with and intervenes in sports, Lemi Çelik emphasized that the government determines the federation presidents not only of the Turkish Football Federation but of all sports branches.

Stating that sports clubs also receive approval from the government in their own presidential elections, Çelik used the expressions, "Only Fenerbahçe elects its own president without government approval. The others get approval and then determine their president!"
