The uncertainties regarding the general assembly date in the Fenerbahçe community have taken on a new dimension. Sources close to the club reported that the statements made by President Sadettin Saran at the recently held holiday greeting ceremony led to interpretations that the previously expected extraordinary general assembly might be postponed.

In his speech at the ceremony, President Saran stated, “I see that just as we are together during difficult days, I hope we will be together during very beautiful days as well. We will provide you with detailed information at the High Council Board on April 4.” These words resonated within the club and among the fans.

According to the report by Sözcü, some congress members and circles close to the management believe that President Saran desires to continue in his post for at least one more year and that the general assembly will be held in 2027, as previously planned. According to this view, while Sadettin Saran is open to remaining in the presidential seat, it is stated that preparations for significant changes in the board of directors and the Sportif A.Ş. structure are on the agenda.

The fact that Saran, who previously kept the extraordinary congress option on the table, has not yet mentioned a definitive date for the election has strengthened the possibility of the general assembly being postponed and the elections being canceled.

Those close to him expect President Saran to make a detailed statement on this matter at the High Council Board meeting to be held on April 4. According to club sources, the new decisions to be taken will shape not only the management level but also the roadmap for all sporting projects, including player transfers for the upcoming season.
