In Sakaryaspor's 1-1 draw against ASTOR Enerji Şanlıurfaspor, whom they hosted in the 11th week of the Trendyol 1st League, technical director Turgay Karslı stated that they would value the one point earned.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Karslı noted that football is a game, and that some goals come from open play while others come from set pieces.
"WE HAVE MISTAKES"
Stating that the team made some mistakes on the pitch today, Karslı noted that failing to score was one of those mistakes.
Expressing that painful processes occur when a guaranteed score cannot be reached, Karslı said, "Did good things not happen? They did. We played with pressure and desire. We controlled the game and managed its tempo. We were present in duels, but for some reason, we could not achieve the different score we should have taken in the first half during the second half. A set piece occurred, and we conceded a goal."
Karslı stated that the referee showed cards very easily, especially in the first half, and while he was not complaining, he requested more sensitivity in a game played with physical contact.
Karslı said, "We have mistakes throughout the game; we saw them, and we will not repeat them. We will also warn our players about this. We will look for ways to score and reach the scoreline more quickly."
Reminding that they will play away against Boluspor next week, Karslı added that when they look at the game as a whole, they desired to return with more points, but they would value the 1 point they received.
