The Samsunspor Basketball Team, which competed in the Basketball Super League last season, has announced that they have decided not to participate in the league this year as they were unable to secure the necessary budget.

Samsunspor Basketball Team, which was relegated from the Super League last year, had been searching for sponsors for some time.
In a statement released by the club today, it was announced that the decision not to participate in the league had been made, and the full statement included the following remarks:
“The call made by our club on August 1st to plan the future of our Samsunspor Basketball team unfortunately did not receive a response from our city's leading public and private sector organizations. As our board of directors and community, we see that it is not possible for sports organizations to be sustainable under current conditions without sufficient facilities and resources.
Under these circumstances; we announce to our city with deep sadness that we will not be able to participate in the league this season because, despite paying the participation fee, the necessary budget to compete and fight could not be secured. We would like to thank the Great Samsunspor Fans and our sponsors who have been with us until today. Announced to the sports public.”
