Sarunas Jasikevicius: 'He is still playing at 50-60 percent'

Fenerbahçe Beko head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius stated that they played a very good game offensively after defeating Spain's Baskonia 111-96 in the 27th week of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

Speaking at the press conference held after the match at the Ülker Sports and Event Hall, the Lithuanian coach said, "I congratulate the players and the fans; there was an incredible atmosphere. After two losses in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, we found our rhythm with this victory, and that was important for us. It was a different kind of break; they were able to rest. I am happy for the win; if I were watching as a fan, I would have enjoyed the game, but we need to do better defensively."

When asked about Tarık Biberovic's performance, Jasikevicius replied, "Like many young players, he is a player who needs to be patient. You only see his good shots, but he is also a good defensive player. He can be much better; he is currently using 50-60 percent of his potential. He needs to work hard and be professional. I hope he does not waste this talent and continues as a professional player. We will always support him."

Baskonia head coach Duska Ivanovic stated that they had problems on defense, saying, "After a two-week break, our goal was to play an offense-oriented game, and we played that way. If your defense is not good against strong teams like Fenerbahçe, you can get into trouble. They went up by 6 points in the third quarter, and that was the turning point of the match. We had 5-6 turnovers, and after that moment, things became difficult for us."
