According to the decision confirmed by the Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom, the alcohol ban will not be limited to stadiums. Alcohol will not be served in hotels or anywhere else in the country.

Speaking to the British press, Saudi Prince Khalid bin Bandar Al Saud said, "Every country has its own unique culture. We are happy to welcome our guests, but we do not intend to change our culture for others."

The issue of alcohol was also debated in Qatar, which hosted the 2022 World Cup. The Qatari administration only allowed fans to consume alcohol in specific hotels and fan zones, while banning sales in stadiums entirely.
