Şenes Erzik reacts to Servet Yardımcı over Merih Demiral decision

Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Honorary President Şenes Erzik, who served as a high-level executive at FIFA and UEFA for many years, made statements regarding the 2-match ban imposed by the UEFA Disciplinary Committee on national footballer Merih Demiral due to the 'Grey Wolf' gesture he made during the Turkey vs. Austria match in the EURO 2024 Round of 16.

Criticizing the stance of UEFA Executive Committee Member Servet Yardımcı during the investigation and disciplinary process, Erzik stated, "If I had been an official, authorized, or responsible person at UEFA, I would not have even allowed this investigation to be initiated. What kind of stance did UEFA Executive Committee Member Servet Yardımcı take during the investigation and the sentencing process that he was unable to prevent this scandalous decision?"
